The HITRIplus project invite to the next HITRIplus Seminar, which will take place on line on Wednesday, 10 December 2025, from 17:00 to 18:00 CEST.
As Speaker there will be Katia Parodi, Professor and Chair of Medical Physics at the Physics Faculty of the Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich, Germany.
The Title of this seminar is “A novel small animal irradiation platform for precision, image-guided proton IMPT delivery: from the initial concept to the first in vivo application”.
The seminar will address how the limited availability of dedicated pre-clinical instrumentation in clinical proton environments is being addressed by an innovative image-guided proton irradiation platform tailored to small-animal studies, that was developed as part of the ERC-funded project SIRMIO (Small Animal Proton Irradiator for Research in Molecular Image-guided Radiation Oncology).
Here full details & Zoom.
The HITRIplus project is leaded by Fondazione CNAO.
CNAO is the only centre in Italy that uses hadrontherapy with both protons and carbon ions to treat tumours. There are only 6 facilities around the world that can do this, and CNAO is one of them. The Center is based in Pavia.
