The Prize rewards research, discoveries and inventions that have made a significant contribution to the advancement of scientific and technological knowledge in areas such as gene and/or cell therapies, regenerative medicine, omics and digital technologies to support treatments.

The International Award "Lombardy is Research" 2023 edition by the Lombardy Region, a recognition of 1 million euros for significant research, discoveries, and socially impactful inventions in the field of Life Science, has "Innovative Models of Care, Therapy, and Prevention" as its theme for this sixth edition.
NOMINATIONS
Self-nominations are not accepted for the International Award "Lombardy is Research." Nominations have been submitted by all scientists of any nationality listed in the Scopus database with an "H-index" of at least 10. Scientists could nominate a single researcher or multiple researchers engaged in research, up to a maximum of three (in the case of multiple authors) for the same scientific discovery.
SUBMISSION OF NOMINATIONS
The nomination window for the International Award concluded on July 31, 2023. A total of 67 nominations were received from researchers worldwide.
READ THE REGULATIONS
EVALUATION
The evaluation of nominations has been entrusted to an International Jury, composed of 14 Top Scientists selected from those with the highest H-index in each of the most relevant areas for the theme "Models of Care, Therapy, Prevention."
PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENT
The 6th edition of the international "Lombardy Research Award"
will take place on November 8, 2023, at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, starting at 9:15 AM.
