Italian honey producer seeks for distributors

A company located in the South of Italy, Apulia, specialised in honey production is looking for new cooperation possibilities among foreign distributors.

The Italian company founded in 1990 is a family-owned company, located in the south of Italy, specialized in the production of honey. From the beginning of the 1900's, the farm began to produce honey for family and friends. Since then, passing first through his son and then his nephew, the passion for bees has been handed down in this big family for generations, moving from hobby to small business. Since 2007, the second daughter of the owner, who grew up with honey production has taken over the company, following her university studies in biology, and studies in naturopathy, giving rise to new products in the range, all based on well-being. Their range includes many high quality mono-varietal honeys: in particular acacia, eucalyptus, orange and chestnut, also used for fruit creations (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, prickly pear, peach, bergamot, licorice and coffee). The products are regularly subjected to sanitary analysis and have been designed and produced in collaboration with experts in the sector of Naturopathy, Pharmacology and Herbal Sciences. There are also products dedicated to wellness, such as anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic orange honey prepared with extracts of incense and myrrh. The production includes candies, honey creams (coffee, cocoa, licorice and hazelnut) and herbal teas, together with strawberry tree jam and fruit jellies. Immediately the company made its brand and its products known throughout Italy, displaying them in small trolleys shops furnished in wood and entirely hand painted becoming in a few years the first beekeeping company in southern Italy. Currently the company sells directly to the final consumer, online and to health food stores or organic stores. Its production capacity is not industrial, but is destined for a niche market. The company opens its doors to all visitors, schoolchildren and those who want to start in this profession, to pass on the indispensable presence of this small insect pronube. While the company is present in the national market, it is looking to expand beyond Italy and is looking for distributors selling abroad to small niche health stores.
