REGIONAL FORUM
ON RESEARCH
AND INNOVATION

One of the major innovations that has been introduced by Regional Law 29/2016 "Lombardy Is Research" was the establishment of the Forum for Research and Innovation to advise on the responsible governance of regional Research and Innovation. The Forum is composed of 10 highly qualified experts in science, innovation and society relationship, selected through an international public procedure.

The Forum plays an important dual role: on the one hand, it will act as an antenna with respect to changes in society, identifying new challenges for growth and anticipating the emerging needs of society to develop timely responses, and on the other hand will reflect on and develop new strategies to engage citizens in planning and implementing research and innovation at regional level, relying on experiences  and evidences from Responsible Research and Innovation, Technology Assessment, Public Engagement, Open Innovation, Open Data, Social Innovation and Bio- and Data-Ethics.
