• “Lombardia innovativa”. Put forward your innovation model from 10/02

Applications have reopened for partnerships with companies and research centres, demonstrating local excellence

Lombardia Innovativa continues: the Lombardy Region's initiative to foster collaboration between companies and research centres in the region. In fact, applications will reopen on 10 February. Outstanding companies and partnerships in Lombardy can propose themselves as innovative models

The initiative “Riconoscimento di Modelli Innovativi guidati da eccellenze imprenditoriali lombarde” (Recognition of Innovative Models driven by Lombardy's entrepreneurial excellence) was launched in September 2020, in order to enhance businesses in the region that carry out their activities following the drivers of Innovation and Research. Companies that have joined forces to achieve international goals: partnerships between public and private companies and research centres and competitive supply chains.

The idea is to give public recognition to the most cutting-edge responses to people’s needs today and turn them into shared best practices.

Those who wish to propose their own “innovative model” can do so on this platform, from 10 February to 10 March.

The advantages

The selected candidates for entrepreneurial excellence will be given a special logo, “Lombardia innovativa”; they will have visibility in regional and international initiatives, promoted by the European networks of which the Lombardy Region is a member; they will be involved in events and comparison paths with the network of interlocutors of the Region; through the Simpler consortium they will be able to benefit from training and orientation tools and initiatives on financing programmes of the Enterprise Europe Network - EEN, the main European network of services to SMEs.

Next steps

The selection results will be announced on 9 May.

Among the criteria for evaluation, besides the qualification of the partnerships, are their possible international relations, product and/or process innovations, technology transfer activities, an open innovation and Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) approach.

Another window will then be opened for further applications, from 15 September to 15 October 2021.

For each of the application windows, no more than 5 “Innovative Models” will be selected.
